"黒サビ絞りは、表面を金属のような風合いに見せるための、
鉱物を使用し、1300℃の窯の中で変化を繰り返すことで、
時に表面がちぢれたような凸凹感、
時に焼き締めの様な黒いつや消し色、
また赤サビが見え隠れする様な表情の仕上がりになる様作り上げた商品で、
その時の気温の変化などでも左右され窯を開けてみないと表情がわからない

Crafted using unique minerals and fired at an intense 1,300°C, the "Black Rust Glaze" is a masterpiece of Kanezen Kiln. The finish dynamically shifts depending on the subtle changes in temperature and atmospheric conditions inside the kiln: sometimes creating a rugged, textured surface; sometimes exhibiting a beautiful, matte, iron-like black finish; and other times revealing hints of reddish rust. Because the final outcome remains a mystery until the kiln is opened, every single plate is a completely unique, one-of-a-kind piece known as Youhen (kiln transformation).
